for today topic, we discuss about 70 million Malaysia population policy. What? nobody knows about it? are you true Malaysian? hehehe..just kidding guys..

erm, around 1980s or 1990s (not sure when the policy is made) Malaysia government under the leadership of Dr Mahathir Mohamad had made a policy. The policy is to add up to 70 million Malaysian population around 2020 (i think its 2020). The policy is made to make sure Malaysia can compete in terms of economy with other countries and to make sure domestic economy can self-sustain Malaysia's economy during 'bad period'. To make sure this policy is achieve during 2020, our government disband National Family Planning Board and replace it with ?? (not sure what it is). Although this policy is good in the long term but in the short term, it is bad for Malaysia. Consider this, how many of our family has children more than 3? Not too many, isn't it?

IMHO, semakin kaya sesebuah keluarga, maka makin kurang anak yg ada dalam family tersebut. kiranya, harta berkadar songsang dgn jumlah anak yg ada laa. Look around you to see whether my theory is correct or wrong. If you read in the paper, and look at your surrounding, you will see that richest family tend to get only 1-3 children, middle income family only have around 3-5 children and poorest family will have around 6 and more children. Am I right? so, does this policy help the country in the short term? nope. the government will have to support this poor family by providing free education to student that came from poor background family (FYI, our education is not free enough right now). or if the government cannot provide this children with free education, someone must do it. only children with good education (and good grade) can get good job and then can spend the 'good' salary s/he got to buy goods. if not, our 70 million policy cannot help our economy. beside free education, government must think about education facility, affordable house for 'rakyat', good and affordable clinics and hospitals, enough food for everyone (do you know Malaysia now spend around 3 - 6 billion on food), and other necessary things.

what else? not sure what to write. i'm tired now. had to 'angkat' computer items from ground floor to 2nd floor at Eureka building.
